The SnowSure™ score (0-100) is calculated from five weighted components: recent snowfall in the last 7 days (30%), forecasted snow for the next 14 days (25%), season-to-date snowfall vs historical averages (20%), absolute season snowfall (15%), and current snow depth (10%). Local Reports from our community also help validate and improve these scores.

We aggregate forecasts from 7 leading weather models: ECMWF, GFS, GEM, JMA, ICON, Météo-France, and Met Norway.

Our SnowSure™ average tends to be more accurate than individual models because it reduces the impact of any single model's errors. Community reports help validate our forecasts in real-time.
